Booking & Casting

Booking:
Minimum booking = 2 hours
Full day = 8 hours (pay 6)
Half day = 4 hours (pay 3)
Length of job must be specified at time of booking. Talent will be paid for time specified whether all of the time is used or not. Time begins at call time and includes hair and make-up. Talent must be paid for length specified, even if not used for the expected time. All bookings are considered optional until there is a written agreement of a confirmed booking. Optional bookings must be confirmed or canceled within 48 hours of call time. Confirmed bookings are considered binding by both parties.

Fees:
All talent fees are to be paid directly to DeZon Media and not directly to the talent unless stated in writing from DeZon Media.  Clients are charged a 20% service fee on ALL bookings and usage fees, in addition to the 20% agency commission due to the agency from the model. Client may propose a budget to DeZon Media into which will incorporate the casting/booking fee, to be agreed upon in writing by DeZon Media as indicated on the DeZon Media booking contract, and invoiced accordingly.  

Special usage:
Billboards, international ads, hang tags, consumer product packaging, poster, web use, point-of-purchase displays, public transport ads and/or use of models name are subject to usage fee negotiations. Usage rights are limited to the specific rights granted by DeZon Media at the time of booking and may not be extended to additional materials without negotiation. Usage fees are in addition to the hourly or daily rates. It is the client’s responsibility to notify the agent and negotiate additional fees (including extensions of existing agreements) for any usage which may be required or anticipated subsequent to the time of booking.

Weather Permitted Bookings:
The 1st cancellation due to weather will be billed at ½ the rate unless the talent is re-booked within ten days.  If the client fails to notify the agency of cancellation and talent arrives at a booking, the client will be billed for the full rate.

Overtime:
Overtime applies at time and half the agreed rate for bookings over nine hours, unless a special arrangement has been made with the agency.

Cancellation fees for confirmed bookings:
Cancellation within 0-24 hours call time = full rate
Cancellation within 24-48 hours call time = ½ rate
Cancellation within 48 hours+ call time = no charge

Test and experimental shooting:
The photographer is not entitled to use any of the images that he/she takes beyond what was agreed to for usage between DeZon Media and client. Models may not sign a photographic release form.

ALL S.AG. & A.F.T.R.A  bookings are covered by standard union contracts. If stills are taken on those bookings, the talent's contracted hourly print rate for hours worked will be billed in addition to the negotiated union rates. Non-union bookings are negotiated on a project-by-project basis.

Client responsibility
1. Notify agency if double, triple or group booking.
2. Disclosure of extraordinary conditions or requirements.
3. Provide adequate dressing facilities on all bookings.
4. Give address and phone number of all booking locations.
5. Confirm all booking fees prior to actual booking.
6. Give booker all pertinent billing instructions. 
7. Rates should not be discussed with model/talent.
8. Client is responsible for model/talent health and safety whilst on the job.
9. Do not ask models/talent for direct contract information or book models directly after introduced to client by DeZon.

Complaints:
Any complaints must be made directly to the agency during the course of the booking so that the problem can be resolved immediately. Complaints will not be dealt with after the fact, and will in no way absolve a client's responsibility to pay the full negotiated rate.

Vouchers:
THE CLIENT AND THE TALENT MUST LEGIBLY FILL OUT AND SIGN PAYMENT VOUCHER AT THE END OF EACH BOOKING. The voucher will take precedence over any and all other contracts or releases.

Payment over 30 days:
A 2.5% finance charge per month will be added to all invoices not paid in full within 30 days. Use of photos is not permitted until all fees have been paid.
